The idle reality

Path of Idle runs full-auto real-time in the background. The entire combat system continues whether the client is open or closed. This is not a traditional idle game with offline caps—your heroes keep fighting, farming, and progressing 24/7.

To maximize this: set your battle lines, confirm they can survive without intervention, close the game, and return later to collect rewards. The most efficient farming is literally doing nothing.

Prepare before logging off

Spend two minutes removing obvious bottlenecks: claim all pending rewards, start the highest-value available activity your team can complete consistently, and verify the party can survive without manual intervention.

Key pre-logout checklist:

• Ensure both battle lines have surviving teams (six heroes total)

• Check that frontliners (Warriors) have sufficient health and defense

• Confirm healers (Clerics) are keeping the team topped off

• Remove any fragile assignments or pushing content that might stall

• Start activities with appropriate duration for your away time

Prioritize reliable gains

A slightly slower activity that never stalls is usually better than a fragile push. Favor upgrades that improve survivability, uptime, or the reward from the activity you can repeat most consistently.

Online vs offline: While the game runs background progress, staying online can offer marginal advantages through active monitoring. However, the difference is minimal—design your setup for true idle operation.

Return with a checklist

Claim offline rewards first, inspect new objectives and unlocks, then spend materials. Avoid spending the full windfall before you understand which system the current Monolith objective is asking you to use.

Post-login routine:

• Claim all accumulated offline rewards

• Check the Monolith for new objectives

• Review any new hero recruitment options (post-Prison upgrade)

• Inspect gear drops and compare to current equipment

• Spend resources only after understanding current priorities
